Hi Sean / everyone,
I've just signed up for the vault and it's awesome. But I live in a tiny room and don't have enough floorspace to do some of the workouts. My room is basically big enough to fit a yoga mat. I don't have enough space to do things like Tommy Tunes, 180 degree planks, or Spiderman crawl, which require me to extend my arms and legs out beyond the edges of the mat. Can you recommend some long and brutal cardio videos which require minimal floorspace? Or some exercises I could use as substitutes if I come across an exercise I don't have enough space for?
That's a great question! Unfortunately, most of the cardio workouts consists of lot of jumps, leaps and general movement madness. Do my Pilates workouts provide enough of a challnege? They usually stay right on the mat.
Mountain Climbers are always excellent for limited space while providing a huge cardio burst. Also, the classic burpee, push ups, jump squats and lunge runs are excellent.
One solution is working outside as Sean does even in the snow. I do it all the time but easy for me since living in Singapore. Try the new push up/burpee videos. They have me panting 😅
Yes, always outside! I'm in snowy and cold WIsconsin right now and heading out to do a walk/sprint workout en route to the high school weight room :)
