They say that you need 48 hours in between strength training with weights session to let your muscles heal. Is it the same if it's strength training with body weight only?
It really depends on the intensity of your bodyweight workouts. If you feel pretty sore after a bodyweight session you can take a day off (24-48 hours) to recover. If you're doing say...a flexibility session (which doesn't break down the muscles) and feel energized the next day then by all means jump into another routine.
It's the beautiful ebb and flow of consistent training and knowing when to push...and when to rest.
Does this make sense?
Totally! Like all of us, that rest thing is the hardest for me.
I am a vault subscriber. I hadn't done a power flow for about a week (what happened???), and then did the Yoga 7 Day Challenge Saturday (or was it Sunday?) video....My hip flexors were SO SORE for several days - but it felt really good, and got me back to power flow more regularly.
So....do you think it's work $300 to see Madame Butterfly in San Francisco? I saw it in HD from the Met and it took my breath away.
